Almost considered a sequel to Bruce Almighty,
Steve Carrell (40 Year Old Virgin) once again reprises his role as
Evan Baxter, a former news anchor who has now heard his calling in
politics or so he thought. Unbeknown to Evan, the man upstairs has a
higher plan for Evan who has been given the task of creating a new
			ark.

Interestingly enough, this version of Evan is
more of a family guy than the wise cracking anchorman and when
veteran congressman Chuck Long (John Goodman), takes our hero under
his wing, the story starts to become entertaining. All of a sudden
Evan turns into a modern day Noah with beard and hair to sprout, not
to mention the hundreds of animals that start calling him friend.

The script is a little weak in certain places but
at the end of the day, it's a great feel good movie that is all
about cliché and some over the top and outrageous acting by Carrell.

The video quality and sound quality is
first class and match that with a plethora of extras, especially the
Outtakes and this is one of the better special features around.

Although not as entertaining as Bruce Almighty,
Evan Almighty is definitely a family movie which I'm sure most kids
and probably some adults will enjoy. A movie for the family!
