A COMPLETE HISTORY OF MY SEXUAL FAILURES
This DVD is a very surreal and odd experience which
revolves around filmmaker Chris Waitt who is attempting to create a
documentary about his failed relationships with past girlfriends.
Unfortunately for Chris, his romantic life has never been good and
through self reflection, he has come to the realisation that all of his
girlfriends have dumped him and the only way forward is of course
revisiting these past relationships. Regrettably, many of his previous
"flames" are reluctant to be filmed, much less even talk to Chris which
causes more problems for our lost filmmaker.
The documentary is quite depressing, surreal and sometimes comical at
times and the picture that is painted of Chris is quite disastrous,
especially how he treated some of his past girlfriends. The crux of the
documentary is Chris discovering that one of his girlfriends whom he
shared an extremely close bond with has become pregnant and before this
information was known, Chris believed that he could reconcile with her.
Ironically, his relationship with ALL women is quite bad, even his
mother who spends much of the time chastising her son. There is a funny
moment in the piece where his producer sets him up with a single girl, however Chris is
hoping to get lucky and as you would guess, he never sees her again.
Chris even gets humiliated by a dominatrix and overdoses on Viagra
in order to get back what he lost because after a disastrous night with
a beautiful girl where he failed to perform and has never been the same
since. It's ironic that he didn't get arrested on the streets as he
asked strangers for sex.
Whether parts of this documentary were staged was unclear but
thankfully for Chris, the happy ending is there with another lost
soul, almost as dysfunctional as our star.
