The Flash ends his confrontation with improved Captain Cold in a story crafted by Manapul and Buccellato. A lot happens in this issue as the plot advances in several fronts: First, the seeds are planted for the potential introduction of four rogues into the new continuity; Barry and Patty's relationship develops further amidst the ongoing crisis; Flash and Cold learn that some aspects of their own powers are dangerous even to themselves; and the Scarlet Speedster goes in search of Iris... love triangle, anyone?

What is so great about the art in this series is not just the drawing and coloring techniques, but the fact that each issue plays with different designs and layouts; reading the pages becomes a treasure hunt where one can search for details that enhance the overall experience; just look for the word "Flash" made of ice, pipes, wood, and chains in that double spread. Beautiful.
