At the final, held at the Sydney Metallic Death Magnetic show, Whitty found himself pitted against \u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00adfour other fierce competitors who battled for ultimate rock god status to the track Paranoid (Live) by Metallica and Ozzy Osbourne.
