Interactive Entertainment announced today the launch of The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest<\/em><\/strong>, a third-person action adventure video game offering a family-friendly gameplay experience based on The<\/em> Lord of the Rings<\/em>, for all ages to enjoy together on PlayStation\u00ae3 computer entertainment system supporting PlayStation\u00aeMove motion controller, Wii\u2122 system from Nintendo, Nintendo DS\u2122 hand-held system, PlayStation\u00ae2 computer entertainment system and PSP\u00ae (PlayStation\u00aePortable) system.<\/p>\n

The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest<\/em><\/strong> empowers parents and families to become the legendary Aragorn and embark upon his most valiant battles from The Lord of the Rings<\/em> literary trilogy and films. Wielding a sword, shield, bow or spear, players journey through a colourful rendition of Middle-earth and take down enemies in an action-packed adventure.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cThe Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest <\/em><\/strong>lets fans relive the greatest adventures from Middle-earth and experience them in an exciting new way, as well as introduce younger gamers to the trilogy,\u201d said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. \u201cFor the first time, players can become the heroes from J.R.R. Tolkien\u2019s world using the PlayStation\u00aeMove motion controller or the Wii as they wield Aragorn\u2019s sword and Gandalf\u2019s staff in well-known scenes from The<\/em> Lord of the Rings<\/em>.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Actors Sean Astin and John Rhys-Davies reprise their The<\/em> Lord of the Rings<\/em> film roles as the voices of Samwise Gamgee, who narrates the game, and Gimli. Both the PlayStation 3 system and Wii\u2122 versions include two-player co-op gameplay featuring Gandalf so kids, families and friends can work together in the heart of the action.<\/p>\n
