Following the Allies\u2019 success, Britain went to the polls in 1945 to decide their post-war prime minister and ruling party, taking more than a week to tally all the votes. Using those days as a framework for the story, INTO THE STORM <\/em><\/strong>begins as Churchill is on holiday awaiting his fate and reminiscing about the war years, when he guided his beleaguered nation through one of its most difficult and challenging periods. A fascinating and complicated man who also had his flaws, INTO THE STORM <\/em><\/strong>shows how Churchill\u2019s prowess as a great wartime hero ultimately undermined his political career and threatened his marriage to his wife and lifelong supporter, Clementine.<\/p>\n

Starring Brendon Gleeson, who garnered an Emmy\u00ae for Best Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for his role as Churchill, the film also features Janet McTeer (Academy Award\u00ae nominee and Golden Globe\u00ae winner for Tumbleweed<\/em>s) as Clemmie Churchill and Len Cariou (Tony Award\u00ae winner for Sweeney Todd<\/em>) as President Franklin Delano Roosevelt as well as James D\u2019Arcy and Ian Glen. INTO THE STORM <\/em><\/strong>was directed by Thaddeus O\u2019Sullivan (Proof 2<\/em>) and written by Hugh Whitemore (WGA and Emmy\u00ae winner for The Gathering Storm<\/em>).
