Set in the mystical east during the sixth century, JAKE GYLLENHAAL is Dastan, an orphan picked from the streets and adopted by King of the greatest empire ever known, Persia.<\/p>\n

Not yet known as a great warrior, the young Persian Prince along with his royal-blood brothers join their Uncle Nizam (BEN KINGSLEY) in laying siege to the holy city of Alamut.<\/p>\n

Alamut\u2019s own beautiful but crafty Princess Tamina (GEMMA ARTERTON) is protector of the sacred, magical dagger of time which holds the power to rewind history, lands with Dastan during the siege.<\/p>\n
