Fantasy will become a reality once again for this year\u2019s instalment of the Melbourne Armageddon Expo, set to invade Melbourne on October 16-17 for the fourth time.<\/p>\n
The expo, to be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, will showcase the latest in science fiction, anime and gaming, together with an array of Hollywood celebrities including Michael Biehn and Kristanna Loken (Terminator), Sylvester Mccoy and Paul McGann (Doctor Who) and Michael Shanks (Stargate SG1).\u00a0<\/p>\n
Since launching in Melbourne in 2007, the event has gained international attention and Armageddon Expo\u2018s Bill Geradts believes the show continues to get bigger and better each year.<\/p>\n
\u201cLast year the show attracted over 13,500 people. It was a huge success and we gained some extremely positive feedback. This year we\u2019re aiming to break the 15,000 mark with visitors,\u201d Geradts stated.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s going to be so much happening at the expo and it\u2019s a really mixed bag, so I can\u2019t think of one feature that will stand above the rest, but I do think a lot of people will go gaga for John DiMaggio \u2013 the voice of Bender from Futurama.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe show is a really diverse cultural event, open to everyone. It will be full of entertainment, gaming and loads more, so there\u2019s really something for everyone. If you\u2019re looking for a fun family weekend, this is the place to be,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The expo will feature special events including Live Wrestling, the Superman\/Batman Apocalypse Movie Screening, a Masquerade Ball and a Cosplay Contest and Parade.<\/p>\n
A number of comic book artists and writers will also attend the event together with the best in gaming and technology, manga and cartoons.<\/p>\n
