– 5 December 2008 \u2013 Driving over $7 million worth of top-spec racing cars down gamers\u2019 download pipes, <\/span>Codemasters<\/span><\/strong>\u00ae today announced the launch of the new downloadable \u201c8 Ball\u201d <\/strong>premium <\/strong>content pack for <\/em><\/strong><\/span>Race Driver: GRID<\/span><\/em><\/strong>\u2122, the hit racing game of the summer, <\/span>for the Xbox 360<\/strong>\u00ae video game and entertainment system<\/span> <\/span>from Microsoft\u00ae <\/span>and the <\/span>PLAYSTATION<\/span><\/strong>\u00ae<\/span><\/strong>3<\/span><\/strong> computer entertainment system. <\/span>The 8 Ball pack will be available today, Friday 5th<\/sup> December, <\/span>from <\/span>Xbox LIVE<\/span><\/strong>\u00ae Marketplace<\/strong> (800<\/strong> Microsoft Points) and from PLAYSTATION<\/span><\/strong>\u00ae<\/sup>Network ($12.95 AUD\/ $14.50 NZD). <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

True to the original game\u2019s quality ethos, the 8 Ball<\/strong> pack delivers eight superb high performance new cars to drive in the game\u2019s \u2018Race Day\u2019 mode and online races. New featured cars include the <\/span>McLaren F1 GTR, TVR Cerbera Speed 12<\/span><\/strong>, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X<\/strong>, Honda S2000<\/strong>, Nissan GT-R (S-G2008), VW Nardo<\/strong>, Pontiac Firebird Trans AM <\/strong>and the Volvo C30 <\/strong>(full details in Notes). <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the cars, there are two new multiplayer events to compete in set on existing circuits from across Race Driver: GRID<\/em><\/strong>\u2019s three continents and designed to test drivers to their very limit online. On <\/span>Xbox 360, the pack will also feature four new Achievements <\/strong>worth 25 points each to earn from four new competitive challenges including <\/span>Jack Of All Trades, Drift Master, Gas Guzzler<\/span><\/strong> and Clean Passing<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
