16 June 2010, Australia \u2013 The EA Play Label of Electronic Arts Inc. today announced that the critically-acclaimed The Sims\u2122 3 is in development for the Nintendo 3DS\u2122, and will be available in 2011.<\/p>\n
The Sims 3, a global success on the PC, Mac and mobile devices, will launch this Spring on the PlayStation\u00ae 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360\u00ae video game and entertainment system, Wii\u2122 and Nintendo DS\u2122 making it accessible from every gaming touch point available. \u201cWe\u2019re bringing players the first true 3D life simulation game on a handheld utilising the ground breaking technology of the Nintendo 3DS,\u201d explained Sam Player, Executive Producer at EA. \u201cWith new features like face mapping, a living open neighbourhood, connectivity like never before and an all-new feature called \u201cKarma Powers,\u201d we\u2019re making it easier than ever for gamers to play with life from the gaming platform of their choice.\u201d<\/p>\n
