May 5th<\/sup> 2010<\/strong> \u2013 May rolls in and with it comes a new collection of shredable track pack additions for Activision Publishing, Inc.\u2019s<\/a> (Nasdaq: ATVI) Guitar Hero\u00ae 5 <\/em><\/strong>and Band Hero\u2122.\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>From \u201cAmerica\u2019s Greatest Rock and Roll Band\u201d to the hottest new\u00a0 alternative rock acts to hit the airwaves, fans can look forward to further expanding their Guitar Hero<\/em>\u00ae <\/em>music libraries and shredding this month with tracks by Foreigner, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steve Miller Band, Alpha Rev, Capra, Snow Patrol and Aerosmith.<\/p>\n

Foreigner, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Steve Miller Band will have Guitar Hero<\/em> players rocking in the beginning of May with the Classic Rock 3 Track Pack. \u201cJuke Box Hero,\u201d the third single off Foreigner\u2019s 1981 album, 4,<\/em> will join Lynyrd Skynyrd\u2019s second hit single, \u201cSweet Home Alabama,\u201d and \u201cTake the Money and Run\u201d by Steve Miller Band.\u00a0 The Classic Rock 3 Track Pack will be available on the PlayStation\u00aeStore for PlayStation\u00ae3 computer entertainment system starting May 11.\u00a0 It will also be available on Xbox LIVE\u00ae Marketplace for the Xbox 360\u00ae video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and on Wii\u2122 on May 6.<\/p>\n

Gamers looking to add some alternative-pop to their Guitar Hero<\/em> library are in for a treat on May 11 with a three-song Alternative Pop Track Pack featuring Alpha Rev, Capra and Snow Patrol.\u00a0 The track pack will contain \u201cFace Down,\u201d off Alpha Rev\u2019s just released new album New Morning<\/em>, Capra\u2019s debut single, \u201cLow Day\u201d and \u201cYou’re All I Have,\u201d the first single from Snow Patrol\u2019s fourth album, Eyes Open<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Get ready to rock this way with legendary American rock n\u2019 roll band, Aerosmith, as they return to the Guitar Hero<\/em> stage with a three-song track pack featuring \u201cLivin’ On The Edge,\u201d \u201cLove In An Elevator\u201d and \u201cRag Doll.\u201d\u00a0 Fans will be able to experience these classic tracks, playable as a full band for the first time, from the GRAMMY\u00ae award winning band on May 18.<\/p>\n

The Classic Rock 3, Alternative Pop and Aerosmith track packs will be available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 440 Microsoft Points, on the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system for $5.49 and for Wii for 550 Wii Points\u2122.\u00a0 In addition, all songs in each track pack will be released as downloadable singles for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 160 Microsoft Points, PlayStation 3 system for $1.99 and Wii for 200 Wii Points each.\u00a0 In addition to the in-game music store and the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360, Xbox 360 owners can expand their Guitar Hero <\/em>music library using the Guitar Hero<\/em> VIP Pass Music Store, available exclusively on Xbox LIVE online entertainment network.<\/p>\n
