Players Reap Benefits of Electric Vehicles Inside World\u2019s Best-selling PC Franchise* <\/em><\/span>

\n<\/span>20 April 2010, Australia – <\/strong>Electronic Arts Inc. and Renault have announced a multi-year agreement that will enable players of The Sims 3<\/em> PC\/Mac in Australia to integrate Renault\u2019s forthcoming range of electric vehicles into one of the world\u2019s most successful entertainment franchises!
\n<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span>This Autumn, Renault\u2019s Twizy Z.E Concept car – will be made available to download free of charge** for The Sims 3<\/em> players within an \u2018Electric Vehicle Pack\u2019 (EVP), which will comprise a number of sustainable environmental items including solar panels and a windmill. The use of the EVP inside The Sims 3<\/em> will have positive repercussions for a player\u2019s in-game family by reducing their weekly virtual household bills.
\n<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span>\u201cThis partnership delivers benefits for Renault and the consumer that are unique in today\u2019s media landscape,\u201d said Elizabeth Harz, Senior Vice President of Global Media Sales for EA. \u201cMillions of The Sims 3 <\/em>players will be able to download Renault concept vehicles and have a deep experience with the brand, while receiving genuine added gameplay value.\u201d

\n<\/span>\u201cThe Sims 3<\/em> players have demonstrated consistent enthusiasm for bringing cool \u2018real world\u2019 brands into their virtual world,\u201d said Steve Seabolt, VP of Global Brand Development for The Sims<\/em>. \u201cWe\u2019re excited to work with Renault on their electric vehicles and have them available for download for The Sims 3<\/em><\/span>.\u201d

\n<\/span>\u201cElectric vehicles are going to appeal to younger, more socially conscious customers and especially early adopters,\u201d said Stephen Norman, SVP, Global Marketing for the Renault Group. \u201cThis is the heartland of The Sims 3<\/em> community and it thus provides a great innovative way to build the Renault Brand just ahead of the Renault range of affordable electric vehicles themselves.\u201d
