First Games Based on the 3-D CGI Feature Scheduled for Winter 2010<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

CAMBRIDGE \u2013 February 2nd, 2010 \u2013 D3Publisher (D3P), a publisher and developer of interactive entertainment software, together with its parent D3, Inc., today announced a worldwide publishing agreement with Universal Partnerships & Licensing for video games based on Universal Pictures and Chris Meledandri\u2019s Illumination Entertainment\u2019s inaugural 3-D CGI feature, Despicable Me<\/em>, the studio\u2019s first from Meledandri (Ice Age<\/em>, Ice Age 2: The Meltdown<\/em>, Horton Hears a Who!<\/em>), who produces through his Universal-based family-entertainment company.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The film follows Gru (voiced by Steve Carell), one of the world\u2019s greatest super-villains, as he uses his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays and a small army of minions to pull off the biggest heist in the history of the world.\u00a0 The video games are scheduled to release across PAL territories on console and handheld systems in late summer\/early fall to coincide with the theatrical release.<\/p>\n
