Menagerie: Contemporary Indigenous Sculpture
\n<\/strong>Menagerie<\/em> features work by 33 established and emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from every Australian state and territory, who have produced sculptures depicting a variety of Australian animals in materials ranging from fibre and ceramic to wood carving and aluminium. Managerie <\/em>is developed by the Australian Museum and Object Gallery.<\/p>\n

Lotjpa: Speaking to<\/strong><\/p>\n

This exhibition explores the connection between Victorian Aboriginal teenagers and youth and Indigenous community members and Elders in the Shepparton region. Featuring photographs taken by Koorie youth complemented by community and Elder\u2019s stories and a series of videos, the exhibition reveals the importance of oral history in Victorian Aboriginal culture.<\/p>\n

Top Designs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Top Designs is in its tenth year at Melbourne Museum and is a major component of the VCE Season of Excellence, managed by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. The exhibition features exemplary student design in a range of VCE studies: Design and Technology, Food and Technology, Systems Engineering, Media, VET Multimedia and Visual Communication and Design.<\/p>\n

Paragon Shoes<\/strong><\/p>\n

For almost 100 years Paragon Shoes, a family business, designed and created shoes in Melbourne. Drawing their inspiration from the latest Paris, London and New York styles, Paragon\u2019s shoes were sold throughout Australia and New Zealand. The Paragon Shoes <\/em>display offers visitors an insight into local Melbourne manufacturing, fashion, and design.<\/p>\n
