Sydney Australia \u2013 January 8, 2010<\/strong> \u2013 Guitar Hero<\/em>\u00ae hits the ground running as it starts 2010 off with a bang and a great selection of new downloadable tracks. Building upon an already vast catalogue of downloadable music compatible with both Guitar Hero<\/em>\u00ae 5<\/em><\/strong> and Band Hero\u2122<\/em><\/strong>, the Guitar Hero<\/em> music library is providing something for everyone this January.\u00a0 Fans can look forward music by Vampire Weekend, Creedence Clearwater Revival, up-and-coming blues artists Tyler Bryant, Joe Bonamassa and Scott McKeon and metal bands Shadows Fall, Amon Amarth and Dethklok.<\/p>\n

Guitar Hero fans will be able to experience blues music in its most raw and most pure form today with a three song track pack featuring three up-and-coming blues masters.\u00a0 The New Blues Masters Track Pack will allow players to jam to Tyler Bryant\u2019s \u201cWho I am,\u201d experience the American blues-rock styling\u2019s of Joe Bonamassa with \u201cLonesome Road Blues,\u201d or rock out to “Broken Man” by Scott McKeon.<\/p>\n

Celebrating the January 11 UK and January 12 US release of their newest album, Contra<\/em>, Vampire Weekend returns to the Guitar Hero<\/em> stage with a new three-song track pack.\u00a0 On January 15, fans can get their hands on two tracks off Contra<\/em>, \u201cHoliday,\u201d and \u201cCousins,\u201d as well as \u201cThe Kids Don’t Stand a Chance,\u201d a song off their 2008 self-titled debut album Vampire Weekend.<\/em><\/p>\n

Metal fans are not forgotten this month as Guitar Hero<\/em> adds three new artists to its ever-expanding line-up. Making their video game debut on January 21 are three well-known metal bands, Shadows Fall, Amon Amarth, and Dethklok.\u00a0 Players can thrash along to \u201cStill I Rise,\u201d a track of Shadows Fall sixth studio album, Retribution,<\/em> “Twilight of the Thunder God” off Amon Amarths seventh studio album similarly titled, Twilight of the Thunder God, <\/em>and \u201cLaser Canon Deth Sentence” off Dethkloks second full-length album, Dethalbum II.<\/em><\/p>\n

American rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival comes to Guitar Hero <\/em>on January 29 with a three song track pack full of their classic hits. Fans should get ready to rock out while playing \u201cProud Mary,\u201d a track off Creedence Clearwater Revivals second album Bayou Country<\/em>, \u201cBad Moon Rising\u201d from their third album Green River <\/em>and \u201cTravelin’ Band\u201d off their fifth album Cosmo’s Factory.<\/em><\/p>\n

The New Blues Masters, Vampire Weekend, Metal and Creedence Clearwater Revival Track Packs will be available on Xbox LIVE\u00ae Marketplace for the Xbox 360\u00ae video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 440 Microsoft Points, on the PlayStation\u00aeStore for the PlayStation\u00ae3 computer entertainment system for $9.95 and for Wii\u2122 for 550 Wii Points\u2122.\u00a0 In addition, all songs in The New Blues Masters, Vampire Weekend, Metal and Creedence Clearwater Revival Track Packs will be released as downloadable singles for the Xbox 360\u00ae video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 160 Microsoft Points, PlayStation\u00ae3 computer entertainment system for $3.45 and Wii for 200 Wii Points each.\u00a0 The New Blues Masters Track Pack will be available for the Xbox 360 and Wii starting January 8, and for the Playstation 3 starting January 22.<\/p>\n
