SYDNEY, Australia, 4 December, 2009<\/strong> \u2013 NETGEAR Australia today announced its partnership with Telstra to provide all new Telstra Velocity estate customers across Australia with a NETGEAR wireless gateway product. With the EVG2000<\/a>, NETGEAR\u2019s latest Gigabit Ethernet, high speed router offering, Telstra Velocity customers will be able to take advantage of increased network capacity to stream high-definition video, download large files, distribute and play HD digital movies, photos and MP3s.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe family home now connects multiple computers and devices to the internet and the upgrade to the Telstra Velocity network means Velocity customers now have an increased bandwidth into the home. Coupled with the new NETGEAR gateway, families can take advantage of the increased capacity so members of the family can receive a better internet experience in the home when they are all online at the same time,\u201d Craig Turner, Executive Director, Telstra Product Management said.<\/p>\n

From December 1, new eligible Telstra Velocity customers will receive a NETGEAR EVG2000 as part of the installation kit supplied by Telstra. Existing customers will also be able to purchase a NETGEAR EVG2000 for AU$249 by calling 1800 008 994.<\/p>\n
