Sydney, Australia \u2013 December 3, 2009<\/strong> \u2013 There is no better way to close out the year than with Guitar Hero<\/em>\u00ae and one of the hottest line-ups of downloadable content this December. \u00a0Tracks, never-before available in a Guitar Hero<\/em> game, from Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, The Fall of Troy, OneRepublic and indie artists Nada Surf, Pavement and Spoon are just some of what fans can look forward to this holiday season. \u00a0Compatible with both Guitar Hero<\/em>\u00ae 5<\/em><\/strong> and Band Hero\u2122<\/em><\/strong>, the Guitar Hero <\/em>music library continues to expand and evolve as fans rock their way through the holidays and into 2010.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The longtime Guitar Hero <\/em>devout may be familiar with metal band The Fall of Troy from their Guitar Hero\u00ae III: Legends of Rock <\/em>bonus track \u201cF.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.\u201d\u00a0 The band returns to the Guitar Hero<\/em> stage once again with The Fall Of Troy Track Pack, available for download on December 3, featuring the newly released \u201cPanic Attack,\u201d \u201cA Classic Case of Transference\u201d and \u201cSingle,\u201d all off of the band\u2019s October album In The Unlikely Event<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

American pop rock band OneRepublic, who first debuted as downloadable content for Guitar Hero\u00ae World Tour,<\/em><\/strong> are back on December 12 with a three song track pack to celebrate the November release of their newest studio album Waking Up<\/em>.\u00a0 The Track Pack features two songs off Waking Up<\/em>, \u201cAll The Right Moves\u201d and \u201cEverybody Loves Me\u201d, as well as \u201cMercy,\u201d a track off their first studio album Dreaming Out Loud.<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Guitar Hero<\/em> fans should get ready to experience indie rock at some of its best this December. Injecting even more flavour into ever expanding Guitar Hero<\/em> music library is a three song track pack featuring Nada Surf, Pavement and Spoon.\u00a0 Players can jam to Nada Surf\u2019s “Hi-Speed Soul,” experience the lo-fi rock music of Pavement with “Cut Your Hair” or rock out to \u201cSister Jack\u201d by Spoon on December 17.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What better way to welcome in the holidays then by playing along to Steve Ouimette\u2019s version of the classic “Hark The Herald Angels Sing,” which will be available as a free download on the Xbox 360\u00ae video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation\u00ae3 computer entertainment system for Guitar Hero 5<\/em><\/strong> and Band Hero<\/em><\/strong> on December 22.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bring in the New Year right with the Celebrity New Years Rock Track Pack. Starting on December 22, players can live it up and rock out with a three song track pack featuring all the Band Hero<\/em><\/strong> in-game artists. Players can sing along to Taylor Swift\u2019s \u201cOur Song,\u201d the third single off her self-titled debut album, Taylor Swift<\/em>, jam to “Harder to Breathe,” the first single off Maroon 5\u2019s debut album Songs About Jane,<\/em> or rock to \u201cNew\u201d by No Doubt as they bring in the New Year, Guitar Hero<\/em> style.<\/p>\n

The Fall of Troy, OneRepublic, Indie Rock and Celebrity New Years Rock Track Packs will be available on Xbox LIVE\u00ae Marketplace for the Xbox 360\u00ae video game and entertainment system from Microsoft for 440 Microsoft Points, on the PlayStation\u00aeStore for the PlayStation\u00ae3 computer entertainment system for $9.95 and for Wii\u2122 for 550 Wii Points\u2122.\u00a0 In addition, all songs in The Fall of Troy, OneRepublic, Indie Rock and Celebrity New Years Rock Track Packs will be released as downloadable singles for Xbox 360 for 160 Microsoft Points, PlayStation 3 system for $3.45 and Wii for 200 Wii Points each.\u00a0 The Christmas Rock Pack will be available for free download for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
