Last days of Pompeii: Toga Party!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Melbourne Museum is extending opening hours on the last four days of A Day in Pompeii<\/em> to give visitors an extra chance to see the exhibition before it has to close on Sunday 25 October. There will be a toga party on Saturday 24 October where visitors can dress up in a toga and enjoy all day entertainment including music late into the night. Don\u2019t miss out!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Melbourne Winter Masterpieces is a Victorian Government initiative and is exclusive to Melbourne, Australia. A Day in Pompeii <\/em>is presented in association with the Soprintendenza Speciale per i Beni Archeologici di Napoli e Pompei (SANP)<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Date: <\/strong>10am \u2013 10pm Thursday 22 and Friday 23 Oct; 6.30am \u2013 12am Saturday 24 Oct; 10am \u2013 6pm Sunday 25 Oct<\/p>\n

Wild: Amazing animals in a changing world
\n<\/strong>Be surrounded by the wonderful diversity of mammals, birds and reptiles from around the world in Melbourne Museum\u2019s new permanent exhibition. Wild<\/em> explores which animals are thriving and which are merely surviving and takes you on an adventure through different Victorian environments, such as the alps, grassland and wetlands. Discover why biodiversity is under threat and learn about how we can create a more hopeful future.<\/p>\n

Romp and Stomp Fun Day for Children <\/strong><\/p>\n

Visit the Melbourne Museum for a day of fun filled activities and events designed for children aged 0 \u2013 5. Activities on the day are both fun and educational, and include performances, activities, special appearances and storytelling. The day also provides the opportunity for parents and carers to access information about early childhood services and networks.<\/p>\n

Lotjpa: Speaking to<\/strong><\/p>\n

This exhibition explores the connection between Victorian Aboriginal Youths, Indigenous community members and Elders in the Shepparton region. Featuring photographs taken by Koorie youth complemented by community and Elder\u2019s stories and a series of videos, the exhibition reveals the importance of oral history in Victorian Aboriginal culture.<\/p>\n

Menagerie: Contemporary Indigenous Sculpture
\n<\/strong>Menagerie<\/em> features 33 established and emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from every Australian state and territory who have each produced sculptural works depicting a variety of Australian animals with a variety of materials, including fibre, ceramic, wood carving and aluminium.<\/p>\n

Developed by the Australian Museum and Object Gallery.<\/p>\n

Paragon Shoes<\/strong><\/p>\n

For almost 100 years Paragon Shoes, a family business, designed and created shoes in Melbourne. Drawing their inspiration from the latest Paris, London and New York styles, Paragon\u2019s shoes were sold throughout Australia and New Zealand. The Paragon Shoes <\/em>display offers visitors an insight into local Melbourne manufacturing, fashion, and design.<\/p>\n
