{"id":3527,"date":"2009-10-10T12:15:21","date_gmt":"2009-10-10T02:15:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/power-up.space\/?p=3527"},"modified":"2009-10-10T12:15:21","modified_gmt":"2009-10-10T02:15:21","slug":"nominations-open-for-gdaa-game-developer-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.impulsegamer.com\/wordpress\/?p=3527","title":{"rendered":"Nominations Open for GDAA Game Developer Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MELBOURNE \u2013 Friday 9 October, 2009 &#8211; The Game Developers\u2019 Association of Australia (GDAA) is pleased to announce that nominations have opened for the annual GDAA Game Developer Awards &#8211; the premier accolade for games developed in Australia and New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p>The GDAA Game Developer Awards program is managed by the GDAA and will be presented at a Gala Awards night on Monday 7 December, as part of the Game Connect: Asia Pacific Conference and Trade Exhibition.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The GDAA is proud to announce that this year\u2019s Awards Dinner will be hosted by Autodesk, which continues its longstanding association with the Australian game development community.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 2009 Awards will include -for the first time &#8211; the category \u2018Best Downloadable Title.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The full list of categories is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Best Game<\/li>\n<li>Best New Start-Up (Adam Lancman Award)<\/li>\n<li>Best Console Title<\/li>\n<li>Best PC Title<\/li>\n<li>Best Handheld Title<\/li>\n<li>Best Mobile Title<\/li>\n<li>Best Downloadable Title<\/li>\n<li>Best Gameplay<\/li>\n<li>Best Graphics<\/li>\n<li>Best Audio<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Only games developed in Australia and New Zealand that have been released between 1 November 2008 and 6 November 2009 are eligible to enter.
