Adding to the excitement, once a player has evolved this Pok\u00e9mon into Venusaur, Charizard, or Blastoise and obtained its unique Mega Stone, the Pok\u00e9mon will be able to Mega Evolve while in battle. <b>Mega Venusaur<\/b>, <b>Mega Charizard<\/b>, and <b>Mega Blastoise<\/b> will possess overwhelming powers never before seen in a Pok\u00e9mon game. Players can choose fan favourite Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle when <i>Pok\u00e9mon X<\/i> and <i>Pok\u00e9mon Y<\/i> launch worldwide October 12, 2013, for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.<\/p>\n<p>More secrets about Mega Evolution were also revealed today. It was previously announced that certain Pok\u00e9mon needed to hold a unique Mega Stone in order to Mega Evolve, but now it\u2019s known that there is a second requirement players must fulfil for Mega Evolution to occur. Trainers must also obtain a bracelet called the <b>Mega Ring<\/b> that holds a mysterious stone called a <b>Key Stone<\/b>. The Trainer\u2019s Key Stone resonates with the Mega Stone held by his or her Pok\u00e9mon, and together they trigger the Evolution that is normally impossible\u2014Mega Evolution.<\/p>\n<p>Director from GAME FREAK inc., Mr. Junichi Masuda,<br \/>\nalso announced <b><i>Pok\u00e9mon Bank<\/i><\/b>\u2014a new Nintendo 3DS application and service that allows <i>Pok\u00e9mon X<\/i> and <i>Pok\u00e9mon Y<\/i> players to safely and conveniently store up to 3,000 of their beloved Pok\u00e9mon on the Internet. Available in Australia and New Zealand from\u00a0December 27 2013, <i>Pok\u00e9mon Bank<\/i> dramatically expands storage capacity for a Pok\u00e9mon game, giving players the flexibility to store and deposit 100 Boxes worth of Pok\u00e9mon. This is in addition to the Boxes found within <i>Pok\u00e9mon X<\/i> and <i>Pok\u00e9mon Y<\/i>, just like in previous Pok\u00e9mon titles.<\/p>\n<p>Additional features of <i>Pok\u00e9mon Bank<\/i> include the ability to deposit and withdraw Pok\u00e9mon from multiple copies of <i>Pok\u00e9mon X<\/i> and <i>Pok\u00e9mon Y<\/i>. Once a <i>Pok\u00e9mon X<\/i> or <i>Pok\u00e9mon Y<\/i> Game Card is inserted into a Nintendo 3DS system or the downloadable version of the game is opened, the <i>Pok\u00e9mon Bank<\/i> software can be turned on for use. Players can then transfer Pok\u00e9mon from multiple copies of the game via <i>Pok\u00e9mon Bank<\/i> to one copy of <i>Pok\u00e9mon X<\/i> or <i>Pok\u00e9mon Y<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>When players download the software, they can also download its linked application, <b><i>Pok\u00e9 Transporter<\/i><\/b>, which makes transferring many Pok\u00e9mon caught in other Pok\u00e9mon games easy. What used to be a lengthy process to transfer Pok\u00e9mon from a previous Pok\u00e9mon game to the latest titles is now a breeze with <i>Pok\u00e9 Transporter<\/i>\u2014just insert <i>Pok\u00e9mon Black<\/i>, <i>Pok\u00e9mon White<\/i>, <i>Pok\u00e9mon Black 2<\/i>, or <i>Pok\u00e9mon White 2<\/i> into your Nintendo 3DS system and use <i>Pok\u00e9 Transporter<\/i> to transfer Pok\u00e9mon from those games into <i>Pok\u00e9mon Bank<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>An annual service charge will apply when players download the <i>Pok\u00e9mon Bank<\/i> software to their Nintendo 3DS system. This charge will support maintenance of the online server that allows players to store up to 3,000 Pok\u00e9mon safely and conveniently, and will provide the application\u2019s support for future Pok\u00e9mon titles. <i>Pok\u00e9 Transporter<\/i> can be downloaded free of charge once the <i>Pok\u00e9mon Bank<\/i> software has been downloaded first. More details will be on Pokemon.com about a free 30-day trial period for individuals who both download and activate the <i>Pok\u00e9mon Bank<\/i> service between\u00a0December 27, 2013 and\u00a0January 31, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Also announced in this morning\u2019s Nintendo Direct presentation were details for the release of two special limited edition Nintendo 3DS XL hardware designs featuring imagery from <i>Pok\u00e9mon X<\/i> and <i>Pok\u00e9mon Y<\/i>.
