18 July 2013<\/b> – Nintendo Australia will be at PAX Australia<\/a> in Melbourne this Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a myriad of fun activities, playable upcoming titles and competitions for everyone – the Nintendo booth at PAX is set to be your gaming destination right throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n

Make sure to bring your Nintendo 3DS<\/b> for a big weekend of multiplayer fun and enjoy all your favourite Nintendo 3DS titles like Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Mario Kart 7 with other Nintendo fans. The booth will be the perfect place to enjoy all the StreetPass<\/b> functionality of Nintendo 3DS, and charging stations will be available so players can keep charged throughout the day.
\nThere will also be an array of exciting up-coming titles on the booth, with Australian fans able to get their hands on 3DS titles for the very first time such as The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds<\/i> <\/b>and Sonic Lost World<\/i><\/b>. Playable on Wii U will be a variety of anticipated software including Pikmin 3<\/i><\/b>, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD<\/b><\/i> <\/b>and Super Mario 3D World.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The Dropbear Theatre on Saturday afternoon at 4:30pm will host a special Animal Crossing: New Leaf event<\/b>, where players can meet fellow fans and hear from the development team as they answer questions put forward by Australian Animal Crossing fans in this special video presentation.<\/p>\n

The Nintendo booth will also play host to the Pok\u00e9mon Video Game Australian National Championships<\/b>, where Pok\u00e9mon fans from around Australia and New Zealand will battle it out on Pok\u00e9mon Black Version 2 and Pok\u00e9mon White Version 2. Players placing in the top two of their age division will win flights, accommodation and invitation to the Pok\u00e9mon Video Game World Championships, hosted by The Pok\u00e9mon Company International in Vancouver, Canada.<\/p>\n

Players should familiarise themselves with the official rules<\/b><\/a> and can register at the Nintendo booth on the day of their age division:<\/p>\n

\u00a0Junior Division: Born in 2002 or later<\/b><\/p>\n

Senior Division: Born in 1998, 1999, 2000, or 2001<\/b><\/p>\n

Registration 2pm – 3pm<\/p>\n

Competition 3pm – 6pm<\/p>\n

In addition to all of this, there will be competitions and play-offs<\/b> on the big screen throughout the duration of PAX for games such as New Super Mario Bros. 2, Luigi\u2019s Mansion 2, Mario Kart 7, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf, with prizes to be won and smiles to be had.<\/p>\n
