Sydney, Australia, April 3, 2013\u00a0—<\/strong>\u00a0Telltale Games, leading publisher of digital entertainment, announced today that\u00a0the award-winning game series\u00a0The Walking Dead\u00a0<\/b><\/em>will soon be available for purchase from Australian and New Zealand retailers on Xbox 360\u00ae video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation\u00ae3 computer entertainment system, and PC.<\/p>\n

The Walking Dead<\/i><\/strong> game was originally a digital download when the series debuted in April 2012. This new retail release is set to launch on May 9th<\/sup> in Australia and May 10th<\/sup> in NZ. It\u00a0compiles all 5 episodes in the critically-acclaimed first season of the game on one disc.<\/p>\n

The Walking Dead<\/i><\/strong>\u00a0has earned\u00a0Game of the Year<\/strong>\u00a0honors from over 80 media outlets including\u00a0Metacritic<\/i><\/strong>, USA Today<\/i><\/strong>,\u00a0Wired<\/i><\/strong>, E! Online<\/i><\/strong>, Yahoo!<\/i><\/strong>, The Telegraph<\/i><\/strong>, Mashable<\/i><\/strong>, Polygon<\/i><\/strong>,\u00a0and\u00a0GamesRadar<\/i><\/strong>,\u00a0and recently won the BAFTA Video Games Awards<\/i><\/strong>\u00a0for\u00a0Best Story<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Best Mobile Game<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Walking Dead <\/b><\/em>is set in the world of Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book series.\u00a0 Players experience life-changing events, meeting new characters and some familiar to fans of the comic book series, in events that foreshadow the story of Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes. The Walking Dead<\/b><\/em> offers an emotionally-charged, tailored game experience – a player’s actions and choices affect how their story plays out across the entire series.<\/p>\n

The Walking Dead <\/b><\/em>is rated ‘MA 15+’ (Restricted) for ‘strong themes and horror violence’ by the Australian Classification Board, ‘R16’ for ‘violence, offensive language and horror’ by the New Zealand Office of Film and Literature Classification.<\/p>\n
