Based on a remarkable true story, this film follows the emotional journey of how Dr. Fred Urquhart spent 40 years trying to discover the mysteries surrounding the journey of the Monarch Butterfly and their secret winter hideaway.<\/p>\n
What began with a small boy daydreaming about where Butterflies went each winter became a lifelong pursuit by Urquhart, who ingeniously enlisted the help of legions of volunteers, known as \u201ccitizen scientists,\u201d to help with tagging and tracking the Butterflies. This decades-long quest yielded the ultimate discovery of the Monarch\u2019s winter sanctuary in Mexico and in 2008 UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n
