Blizzard Entertainment today announced plans for its seventh <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blizzcon.com\">BlizzCon<\/a><sup>\u00ae<\/sup> gaming convention, taking place <b>Friday, November 8<\/b> and <b>Saturday, November 9 <\/b>at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. For two epic days, members of Blizzard\u2019s gaming community from around the globe will descend on Anaheim to meet, play, and celebrate their shared passion for all things <i>Warcraft<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, StarCraft<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>,<\/i> and <i>Diablo<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/i>.<b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlizzCon gives us a chance to connect with our players and share our latest projects in a very personal way,\u201d said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. \u201cMembers from all of our gaming communities have helped make this event bigger and better every time, and we look forward to meeting up and celebrating with them in November.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to serving as a gathering place for Blizzard Entertainment gaming communities, BlizzCon will offer attendees a chance to enjoy:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hands-on play time with the \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 latest versions of Blizzard Entertainment games<\/li>\n<li>Global finals for Blizzard \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 eSports, featuring \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 top pro gamers from around the world<\/li>\n<li>In-depth discussion panels with \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Blizzard game developers and artists<\/li>\n<li>Competitive and casual \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 tournaments for players to showcase their talents<\/li>\n<li>Community contests with great \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 prizes<\/li>\n<li>Commemorative merchandise based \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 on Blizzard Entertainment\u2019s game universes<\/li>\n<li>More activities and attractions \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 to be announced<b>\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The previous BlizzCon was held in Anaheim in October 2011.
