Dancefloor favourite Netsky shares the spotlight with Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in brand new music video <\/em><\/p>\n

MELBOURNE \u2013 (14th<\/sup> December 2012)<\/strong> \u2013 Disney today premiered a brand new, custom-made remix from acclaimed DJ and producer, Netsky, inspired by the action-adventure video game \u201cDisney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two\u201d which launched on 22rd<\/sup> November.\u00a0\u00a0 Entitled \u201cEpic Mickey 2 (Remix)\u201d, the track samples tunes from the game\u2019s soundtrack mixed with original sounds and melody from the 23-year old Belgian producer.\u00a0 \u201cDisney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two\u201d is the first video game that can be described as a \u201cmusical\u201d and features all-original music and lyrics.<\/p>\n

The song has also inspired an electrifying new music video featuring footage of Netsky, currently touring the UK, plus gameplay footage from \u201cDisney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two\u201d with cameos from its stars, Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney\u2019s first cartoon star.<\/p>\n

Having quickly risen through the ranks, Netsky is the “new face of Bass music” according to Mixmag, being picked up and embraced by some of the industry\u2019s biggest players. Netsky’s album \u201cNetsky 2\u201d released in June 2012 received widespread critical acclaim, reaching\u00a0 the Top 30 in the UK album charts and No. 1 in his home country of Belgium. Netsky recently picked up Best Live Act, Album, Song and Artist of the Year at the Red Bull Elektropedia awards and is the highest Drum & Bass DJ in the DJ mag top100 poll 2012. \u00a0His video for the song \u201cCome Alive\u201d has reached over 3.5 million views on YouTube.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s not every day you get a remix call from Mickey Mouse so I was excited to check out the Epic Mickey 2 soundtrack and then add my own twist to it \u201d said Netsky. \u201cI really loved the first Epic Mickey game, it’s much harder than it looks! So being given the chance to collaborate on this new game was an amazing opportunity to do something really creative with some iconic characters and a video game with a really loyal fan base. The music in Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is really interesting as it’s a musical, a first for video game soundtracks so I\u2019m thrilled to bring a bit of the Drum + Bass sound to the party.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDisney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two\u201d returns Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to Wasteland, an alternate world filled with more than 80 years of forgotten Disney characters and theme park attractions. But for the first time, Mickey and Oswald will join forces as true partners – Mickey with the magical paint brush that allows him to wield paint and thinner, and Oswald with a powerful remote control that allows him to command electricity. At many points throughout the adventure, characters will advance the plot by expressing themselves in song, with all-original music and lyrics produced by Emmy award winning composer Jim Dooley.<\/p>\n

\u201cDisney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two\u201d is available now on Nintendo Wii, Nintendo\u2019s Wii U\u2122 system, Xbox360 and PlayStation3.<\/p>\n
