The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey \u2013 The IMAX 3D Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

From Academy Award\u00ae-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson comes The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey 3D<\/em>, the first of a three part trilogy adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit<\/em>, by J.R.R. Tolkien. IMAX Melbourne Museum will be presenting The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey<\/em> in IMAX 3D, allowing the grand scale of such an epic fantasy adventure to truly unfold, immersing audiences in the wonder of Middle-earth. The trilogy is set 60 years before The Lord of the Rings<\/em> trilogy and follows the journey of Bilbo Baggins who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of 13 dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield. The second film,\u00a0The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug<\/em> will be released on 26 December 2013 and the third, The Hobbit: There And Back Again<\/em> on 18 July, 2014.<\/p>\n
