Heart of the Swarm<\/em> features a new campaign continuing the epic story of Sarah Kerrigan, Queen of Blades, as she gathers the remnants of the zerg Swarm and plots her revenge against the treacherous dictator of the Koprulu sector, Arcturus Mengsk. It <\/em>also introduces several new multiplayer units and features that enhance the acclaimed StarCraft<\/em> II<\/em> online experience.<\/p>\n

StarCraft<\/em> II: Heart of the Swarm<\/em> will be available on DVD-ROM for Windows\u00ae<\/sup> XP\/Windows Vista\u00ae<\/sup>\/Windows\u00ae<\/sup> 7\/Windows\u00ae<\/sup> 8 and Macintosh\u00ae<\/sup> at a suggested retail price of $49.95 AUD. The expansion will also be available digitally directly from Blizzard\u2019s StarCraft<\/em> II<\/em> website (www.StarCraft2.com<\/a>) at an expected price of $44.95 AUD.<\/p>\n

Blizzard is offering a Collector’s Edition of Heart of the Swarm<\/em> loaded with digital and physical bonus items, available exclusively at select retail stores for a suggested retail price of $89.95 AUD. Players will also have the option of purchasing a Digital Deluxe version of the expansion, which will include all of the digital items from the Collector’s Edition. The Digital Deluxe version will be available directly from Blizzard via www.StarCraft2.com<\/a> at an expected price of $64.95 AUD. Players who purchase the standard edition digitally or at retail will have the option to upgrade to the Digital Deluxe version at any time (for as long as the standalone Digital Deluxe version remains available) for an additional $20 AUD.<\/p>\n

Heart of the Swarm<\/em> picks up the story of StarCraft<\/em> II <\/em>where Wings of Liberty <\/em>left off, focusing on Kerrigan’s quest to reunite the Swarm and exact revenge on Arcturus Mengsk. New features will enhance the game experience, including group and clan systems<\/strong>; unranked matchmaking<\/strong>; Global Play, <\/strong>enabling players to battle others in different regions around the world; additional stat tracking<\/strong>; user interface improvements;<\/strong> an enhanced physics system,<\/strong> for more visceral looking battles; multiplayer replays,<\/strong> to watch replays with friends; a leveling<\/strong> system<\/strong> that gives Heart of the Swarm<\/em> players a new way to earn customization options for their online profiles; and much more.<\/p>\n

Heart of the Swarm <\/em>has received a M rating from the Australian Classification Board.
