The free-to-play strategy game is inspired by <em>The Hobbit <\/em>Trilogy, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM).\u00a0 Peter Jackson\u2019s film trilogy, which begins with <em>The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, <\/em>is based on the enduringly popular masterpiece <em>The Hobbit<\/em>, by J.R.R. Tolkien.<em> The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth<\/em> is now available in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.itunes.com\/appstore\">Apple App Store<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/category\/GAME\">Google Play Store<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKabam has crafted a mobile game that will thrill strategy gamers and <em>The Hobbit<\/em> film fans alike,\u201d said Andrew Sheppard, President of Kabam Game Studios. \u201cWe\u2019re excited to partner with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to deliver a free-to-play game for iOS and Android that fans can experience wherever they go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth<\/em> challenges players to create their own empire in Middle-earth.\u00a0 Set in this epic world of Elves, Dwarves, Orcs and Wizards, <em>The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth<\/em> calls on players to build a kingdom, forge powerful alliances and strategize with other gamers to purge Middle-earth of all who oppose them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe expect <em>The Hobbit<\/em> Trilogy to be one of the biggest events in entertainment history,\u201d said Greg Ballard, Senior Vice President, Digital Games, Warner Bros.
