August 30, 2012 — Today, Bose introduces the Solo TV sound system, an unobtrusive, single speaker<\/strong> <\/em>designed specifically for watching television.\u00a0 The Bose\u00ae<\/sup> Solo system dramatically improves the dialogue, music, action and sound effects from everyday programming, takes just one connection and fits neatly under many TVs.<\/p>\n

\u201cTV picture quality has improved over the years, but its audio quality hasn\u2019t,\u201d said <\/strong>Doug Lankford, Bose Director of Home Theatre Product Marketing.\u00a0 \u201cThe Bose Solo TV sound system was developed for the love of TV \u2013- for people who don\u2019t want a home theatre system.\u00a0 It delivers detailed sound at any volume, without the complications or intrusions of multiple components.\u00a0 One listen, and you\u2019ll realise how much you\u2019ve been missing in your favourite shows.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Bose Solo TV sound system measures just 7.1 cm high x 53 cm wide and just over 30 cm deep -\u2013 yet it delivers detailed, wide, even sound using proprietary Bose digital signal processing and Bose speaker array technology.\u00a0 Owners will hear programme audio clearly and naturally, even at lower volumes.\u00a0 And regardless of what\u2019s being watched, it can now be heard<\/em> with the intended impact \u2013- the whispered conversation between two actors, the powerful vocals of a talent show, the music supporting a drama, or the crack-of-a-bat for a test match-winning boundary.<\/p>\n

The Bose Solo TV system will work with any TV, but was designed for placement under flat-panel televisions that have a base up to 51cm wide and 26 cm deep — requirements met by TVs with screens up to 32\u201d (81.5cm) and many 40\u201d (102 cm) to 42\u201d (107cm) televisions.<\/p>\n

Set-up and use is simple.\u00a0 The Bose Solo TV system connects to a television with just one cable and one plug to the wall.\u00a0 No additional equipment, wiring or adjustment is required.\u00a0 A remote control is included and the system can also be operated by most universal remotes.<\/p>\n
