{"id":22247,"date":"2012-07-17T15:23:09","date_gmt":"2012-07-17T05:23:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/power-up.space\/?p=22247"},"modified":"2012-07-17T15:23:09","modified_gmt":"2012-07-17T05:23:09","slug":"hbo-confirms-new-cast-members-for-third-season-of-game-of-thrones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.impulsegamer.com\/wordpress\/?p=22247","title":{"rendered":"HBO CONFIRMS NEW CAST MEMBERS FOR THIRD SEASON OF GAME OF THRONES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SYDNEY, Australia, July 17, 2012 \u2013 HBO has confirmed some of the new cast members for the third season of the hit series <strong><em>GAME OF THRONES<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Among the new actors and the characters they will portray are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Diana Rigg as Lady Olenna Tyrell.<\/em> Also known as \u201cThe Queen of Thorns,\u201d Lady Olenna is the grandmother of Margaery and Loras Tyrell and is, in many ways, the true leader of their powerful family.<\/li>\n<li><em>Mackenzie Crook as Orell.<\/em> A wildling raider, Orell is a \u201cwarg\u201d or \u201cskinchanger,\u201d with the ability to enter the mind of an animal and control its actions.<\/li>\n<li><em>Clive Russell as Bryndon \u201cThe Blackfish\u201d Tully.<\/em> Known far and wide as \u201cThe Blackfish,\u201d Brynden is a famous knight and the uncle of Catelyn Stark. He quarrelled bitterly with his brother, Lord Hoster Tully, and the two were estranged for many years.<\/li>\n<li><em>Nathalie Emannuel as Missandei<\/em>. Originally from the peaceful island of Naath, Missandei was sold into slavery as a child, along with her brother. She received education in various languages and became a translator to the slave trader Kraznys in Astapor.<\/li>\n<li><em>Kerry Ingram as Shireen Baratheon, <\/em>the only child of Stannis Baratheon. An avid reader, she escapes her lonely life through myths and stories \u2013 her books are her most treasured possessions.<\/li>\n<li><em>Paul Kaye as Thoros of Myr.<\/em> A key member of the outlaw band known as the Brotherhood Without Banners, he is a Red Priest, in service of the Lord of Light, and originally hails from the Free City of Myr, in Essos.<\/li>\n<li><em>Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Jojen Reed<\/em>, a mysterious and enigmatic young man who becomes an important ally to Bran Stark.<\/li>\n<li><em>Ellie Kendrick as Meera Reed.<\/em> The eldest daughter of Howland Reed and a staunch Stark loyalist, Meera and her younger brother Jojen seek out Bran Stark to protect him on his hard journey north.<\/li>\n<li><em>Richard Dormer as Beric Dondarrion.<\/em> Once the Lord of Blackhaven and a celebrated warrior, Lord Beric has now become the leader of the Brotherhood Without Banners, a band of vigilante outlaws.<\/li>\n<li><em>Kristofer Hivju as Tormund Giantsbane.<\/em> A famed wildling warrior and chief lieutenant of the \u201cKing Beyond the Wall,\u201d Mance Rayder, Tormund is fearsome and strong, with a large build and a beard to match.<\/li>\n<li><em>Philip McGinley as Anguy<\/em>, an extremely skilled archer and key member of the outlaw band known as the Brotherhood Without Banners.<\/li>\n<li><em>Tara Fitzgerald as Selyse Baratheon<\/em>. The wife of Stannis Baratheon, Selyse spends much of her life in seclusion, shut away in a gloomy tower.<\/li>\n<li><em>Tobias Menzies as Edmure Tully<\/em>.
