Amongst them\u00a0\u00a0 were thousands of Allied soldiers, many of whom had spent over four\u00a0\u00a0 years working in mines and factories with barely adequate sustenance.\u00a0\u00a0 They were now ordered at gunpoint to march through harsh winter\u00a0\u00a0 conditions and struggle for survival amid chaos, genocide and\u00a0\u00a0 starvation. It was to be one of the most tragically forgotten cases of\u00a0\u00a0 brutality of WWII.<\/p>\n
