Francis Ford Coppola\u2019s Godfather<\/em> trilogy collected nine Academy Awards and was nominated for a further twenty becoming recognised as a bona fide, cinematic masterpiece in the process. Now, to celebrate its 40th<\/sup> birthday, the trilogy has been restored, re-mastered and will be re-released in a special five disc DVD (or nine disc DVD\/Blu-ray) anniversary boxset.<\/p>\n

Each set boasts an array of original re-mastered special features and bonus 40th<\/sup> anniversary special features such as a look at The Godfather on the Red Carpet<\/em>, four short films on The Godfather<\/em> and a feature on When The Shooting Stopped<\/em>. The boxsets also include the original lined script for the first film, never before seen behind the scenes photography with commentary and a Corleone family tree poster.<\/p>\n
