Directors of leading Australian IT and e-commerce company Manaccom Corporation Limited (ASX:MNL) are pleased to announce that a three year agreement has been signed with McAfee, Inc. (NYSE: MFE) to distribute its leading consumer software titles, including the award winning McAfee\u00ae Internet Security suite. Manaccom is to be McAfee\u2019s sole retail distributor offering the full range of McAfee consumer retail products to major retailers throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.<\/p>\n
The new association with McAfee is expected to become a significant partnership for Manaccom. Manaccom will terminate its previous association with Trend Micro.<\/p>\n
“The new relationship with McAfee is very exciting for Manaccom as we will be responsible for the production, marketing, initial customer support and the distribution of the McAfee consumer products,” said Mr Ian Mackay, Deputy Chairman of Manaccom.<\/p>\n

“I believe the Internet Security market is heading for a continued growth phase as more people continue to use the Internet, especially in the context of the upcoming National Broadband Network,” said Mr Mike Veverka, CEO of Manaccom.<\/p>\n
Manaccom recently announced a 34 percent increase in net profit after tax for the half year to December 2008.<\/p>\n
This is a result of 22 percent growth in the Online Division and a 20 percent growth in the Software Publishing and Distribution Division on a like-for-like basis.<\/p>\n
The audited results for the six months to December 2008 include revenue of $23.5 million, EBITDA of $1.9 million and a net profit after tax of $1.0 million.<\/p>\n
Manaccom recently paid an interim 0.5c fully franked dividend for the half year to December 2008. This follows a 1.0c full year fully franked dividend paid for the 2008 Financial Year.<\/p>\n
