Sydney, Australia: November 21, 2011<\/strong>\u00a0– Disney Mobile has released \u201cTap Tap Muppets\u201d for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.\u00a0 Available for free from the App Store, \u201cTap Tap Muppets\u201d brings Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal and the rest of the gang together for what fans will surely agree is the most sensational celebration of their favorite Muppet music.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Based on the popular \u201cTap Tap Revenge\u201d gameplay, the most successful mobile music franchise of all time, \u201cTap Tap Muppets\u201d features six full tracks including three songs from Disney\u2019s \u201cThe Muppets\u201d soundtrack, which will be released by Walt Disney Records, through Universal Records on November 25. The launch of \u201cTap Tap Muppets\u201d on the App Store precedes the theatrical release of Disney\u2019s \u201cThe Muppets.\u201d On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary\u2019s girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze Muppet Studios and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the studio, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With a screenplay written by Jason Segel & Nicholas Stoller, the film is directed by James Bobin.
