The game puts players into the role of John Slade, a professional bounty hunter in the year 2350. Slade\u2019s mission: hunt down Dr. Edgar Simon, renowned geneticist and former employee of the trans-galactic corporation Toltech Enterprises. Players must lead \u201cshadowgun\u201d John Slade as he infiltrates Dr. Simon\u2019s mountain fortress and fights his personal army of mutants, cyborgs, and genetically-enhanced humanoids.<\/p>\n<p>Currently available for iOS devices including iPad 1, iPad2, iPhone 3GS\/4G and iPod 4, <em>Shadowgun<\/em> will be available for Android devices beginning in early October.\u00a0 The game will support Android mobile devices including those powered by the NVIDIA Tegra super chip and will be available on the Tegra Zone app and Android Market.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Shadowgun<\/em> pushes the boundaries of what is possible graphically on today\u2019s mobile devices,\u201d said Marek Rabas, president of Madfinger Games.\u00a0 \u201cOnce a gamer picks up <em>Shadowgun<\/em> and experiences the amazing visuals, combined with the fast-paced, immersive gameplay, they will never be able to look at mobile games the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201dUnity has been thrilled to work so closely with Madfinger to help Shadowgun develop into one of the most exciting and beautiful games across any mobile platform,\u201d said Unity Tecnologies CEO David Helgason \u201cIt\u2019s awesome to be at the forefront of next-gen mobile gaming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Madfinger is also developing an even more enhanced version supporting NVIDIA\u2019s Project Kal-El, the next-generation Tegra quad-core processor.
