September 19, 2011 \u2013 <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Yo ho, ho, ho \u2013 a pirates life for me! <\/span>In honor of the international celebration today of \u201cTalk Like a Pirate Day,\u201d Disney is sharing with fans the swashbuckling pirate adventures that will be part of the upcoming video game, Disney Universe.<\/em><\/span> Featuring<\/span> <\/span><\/em>environments and character costumes inspired by Disney\u2019s \u201cPirates of the Caribbean\u201d movies,<\/span> \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span>Disney Universe <\/strong><\/span><\/em>is the first video game that brings together characters and worlds <\/span><\/span>inspired by both animated and live action films from Disney\u2019s Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Players can suit up as film characters such as Captain Jack Sparrow, Angelica, Mr. Gibbs, Captain Barbossa and Blackbeard as they navigate their way over the Thames River and through the city streets of London. The new world also includes cannons to fend off the pirate ships, water bombs to prevent London from burning and rubber duck vehicles that players can utilize to engage in a final battle in an attempt to gain access to the Fountain of Youth.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cPirates of the Caribbean\u201d<\/span> <\/span><\/em>environment and character costumes set sail as the latest Disney property to join the <\/span><\/span>Disney Universe <\/span><\/em>fun, alongside additional favourites including Tim Burton\u2019s<\/span><\/span> \u201c<\/span><\/em>Alice in Wonderland,\u201d <\/span><\/span>Disney<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u2022<\/span><\/span>Pixar\u2019s \u201cMonsters, Inc.\u201d and \u201c<\/span>WALL<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u2022<\/span><\/span>E,\u201d Disney\u2019s \u201cThe Lion King,\u201d and more to be revealed<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Disney Universe <\/span><\/em><\/span>will be available 27 October 2011 for <\/span>the Xbox 360\u00ae<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/sup>video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation\u00ae3 computer entertainment system, the Wii\u2122 system from Nintendo <\/span><\/span>and Windows PC. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
