Sydney, Australia \u2013 July 22, 2011 <\/span><\/strong>\u2013 2K Sports announced today that NBA\u00ae 2K12<\/em><\/strong>, the next installment of the top-rated and best-selling NBA video game simulation franchise*, will offer three separate covers for PlayStation\u00ae3 (PS3\u2122) computer entertainment system and Xbox 360\u00ae <\/sup>video game and entertainment system from Microsoft featuring the greatest basketball legend of all time, Michael Jordan, along with two of the world\u2019s most iconic NBA athletes: Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. This unprecedented, stylized artwork represents 2K Sports\u2019 passion for bringing fans authentic NBA basketball across generations, while celebrating the legacy of legendary hoops athletes, past and present.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The new stylized NBA 2K12<\/em><\/strong> covers are a unique, limited-time departure from the traditional 2K Sports brand artwork, and will spotlight each legendary athlete on his famous team: the Chicago Bulls, the Boston Celtics, and the Los Angeles Lakers. A new feat in sports gaming, this three-part collection also extends the strong legacy established by NBA 2K11<\/em><\/strong>, which sold more than 5 million units worldwide and garnered more than 20 video game accolades, including 14 \u2018Sports Game of the Year\u2019 honors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The cover artwork for NBA 2K12 <\/em><\/strong>was created by Adam Larson of Adam&Co. Adam has created dynamic artwork for galleries, magazines and various product advertising campaigns. His work has garnered accolades including the Kelly Awards, Cannes Lions, the Clio Awards, and two primetime Emmy nominations<\/p>\n
