TEKKEN\u2122 Tag Tournament HD to Release with TEKKEN\u2122 Blood Vengeance 3D Movie this Autumn<\/p>\n
SYDNEY\u2013 8TH June 2011 \u2013 NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe S.A.S., today announced that TEKKEN\u2122 HYBRID, a collection of the new full-length 3D compatible feature film TEKKEN\u2122 Blood Vengeance 3D, TEKKEN\u2122 Tag Tournament HD, and additional content yet to be announced, will be releasing on Blu-Ray exclusively for the PlayStation\u00ae3 computer entertainment system this Autumn. TEKKEN Tag Tournament HD is a high-definition remake of the PlayStation\u00ae2 classic, TEKKEN Tag Tournament.<\/p>\n
Set in the rich Tekken universe, TEKKEN Blood Vengeance 3D follows Xiaoyu Ling, seasoned martial artist and high school student, tasked by the G Corporation to infiltrate an international school in Kyoto to gather information on the mysterious student Shin Kamiya. Before she can make any progress in the investigation, Shin is kidnapped by an unknown assailant. Digging deeper into Shin\u2019s background in an attempt to rescue him, Xiaoyu learns about the frightening underbelly of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima and the late Heihachi Mishima\u2019s conspiracy that\u2019s stained with blood.<\/p>\n
Created in full CG, TEKKEN Blood Vengeance 3D is being produced by Digital Frontier (Resident Evil: Degeneration, Death Note and Appleseed), with the screenplay written by Dai Sato (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Cowboy Bebop) and the score composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto (Ogre Battle, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Tekken 6). Directing the project will be Youichi Mouri, who directed the opening movies for both Tekken\u2122 5 and Tekken\u2122 6: Bloodline Rebellion.<\/p>\n
“TEKKEN Hybrid is breaking new ground for both the Tekken series and the movie industry, with a full length 3D CG animation film shown in the theatres, while the home entertainment release will include special features such as a full HD version of the acclaimed title, TEKKEN Tag Tournament, which has been one of the highly requested titles from fans of TEKKEN series,\u201d said Tekken creator and project director Katsuhiro Harada. \u201cOf course, TEKKEN Tag Tournament HD will also include a version of the popular TEKKEN Bowl as well.
