Sydney, Australia \u2013 June 7, 2011 \u2013 Defiance\u2122, the upcoming open world shooter MMO from Trion Worlds, will make its official debut at this year\u2019s Electronic Entertainment Expo, June 7-9. Demos will take place behind closed doors at the Trion booth over the course of the three-day show. Select press and VIPs will see the first shooter-style MMO to play live on PC, Xbox 360\u00ae video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation\u00ae3 computer entertainment system.<\/p>\n
Defiance is the first multi-platform shooter MMO which, in a ground-breaking entertainment experience, interconnects with a global television program by Syfy, cable\u2019s premiere imagination-based entertainment channel. Announced last year, the first live gameplay demo of Trion and Syfy\u2019s visionary concept will debut at the annual industry event.<\/p>\n
On the television side, the Defiance series, to be produced by Universal Cable Productions, will be penned by Rockne S. O\u2019Bannon, a legendary sci-fi TV writer best-known for his work on Warehouse 13, Alien Nation, seaQuest DSV, and Farscape.<\/p>\n
