Players Will Enter a Mix-Up of Disney and Disney\u2022Pixar Inspired Worlds This Fall<\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

<Melbourne>\u00a0 —\u00a0 (26 May 2011)<\/strong> <\/strong>\u2013 Disney announced today that Disney Universe, <\/em>a fast-paced multiplayer action adventure game, \u00a0<\/em>is currently in development for PlayStation\u00ae3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360\u00ae video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Wii\u2122 and Windows PC\/MAC.\u00a0 In Disney Universe<\/em>, players will experience non-stop action through a mix-up of worlds inspired by both animated and live action films from Disney, including titles from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures. Players will suit-up as iconic Disney and Disney\u2022<\/em><\/strong>Pixar characters and embark on adventures to power up their hero, battle powerful adversaries and master challenging puzzles to save the universe.\u00a0 Disney Universe<\/em> is slated for release in autumn 2011.<\/p>\n

\u201cDisney Universe<\/em> is a vast treasure chest of Disney properties with memorable characters, places and experiences that gamers, as well as Disney fans will enjoy,\u201d said Adam Sussman, senior vice president of publishing, Disney Interactive Media Group. \u00a0\u201cThe fast-paced, frenetic gameplay combined with wacky humour and hilarious situations make Disney Universe<\/em> the perfect game to play with family and friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Disney Universe<\/em>, players can select from more than 40 classic and contemporary Disney character costumes, including Alice (\u201cAlice in Wonderland\u201d), Mike (\u201cMonsters, Inc.\u201d), TRON (\u201cTRON: Legacy\u201d) and Stitch (\u201cLilo & Stitch\u201d) to explore six different worlds inspired by legendary Disney and Disney\u2022<\/em><\/strong>Pixar films.\u00a0 Each world <\/em>will allow players to experience objectives and missions that follow Disney and Disney\u2022<\/em><\/strong>Pixar movie storylines.\u00a0 Players will select a character-based costume, with each costume offering a specific tool that changes and grows in power as players adventure through the game.\u00a0 <\/em>Disney Universe<\/em> offers frenetic gameplay, multiplayer with up to three friends and slapstick humor that will appeal to players of all ages.<\/p>\n

The fun will continue on with plans for Disney <\/em>Universe<\/em> to be an expanding universe post-launch with items for download and new content available.\u00a0 Additional worlds, costumes, and more will be available for purchase, giving Xbox 360 and PlayStation\u00ae3 system owners an ever-evolving gameplay experience.<\/p>\n
