HOLLYWOOD, CA (May 19,2011) -\u00ad? Paramount Pictures, Twentieth\u00a0 Century Fox and Ligh tstorm Entertainment jointly announced today that James Cameron\u2019s \u201cTITANIC\u201d will be re-\u00adreleased worldwide on\u00a0 April 6, 2012.<\/p>\n

The release, which marks the 100th anniversary of the\u00a0 Titanic setting sail (April 10th), will present the film in 3D for the first time ever. Written,d irected and\u00a0 produced by
\nCameron, \u201cTITANIC\u201d is the second highest grossing movie of all time. It is one\u00a0of only three films to have received a record 11 Academy Awards\u00ae including Best\u00a0 Picture and Best Director; and launched the careers of stars Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate
\nWinslet.<\/p>\n

Called \u201cA spectacular demonstration of what modern technology can contribute to dramatic storytelling\u201d by Variety upon its release in 1997, the long in the works 3D conversion is being overseen by Cameron and his Lightstorm producing partner Jon Landau who produced the hit movie.
