Gorehounds, fright fetishists and genre geeks take note: the annual A Night of Horror film festival starts in Sydney at the end of this month and runs till April 8. The fest features a good selection of both Australian and International films, shorts, Q&As and a free screenwriting forum – the full program<\/a> is reprinted below.<\/p>\n

For me (having not seen any of the films yet), some the highlights are the opening night film The Tunnel<\/em>, set in Sydney’s underground throughways, the spoofish-looking, The Last Lovecraft: Relic of Cthulhu<\/em><\/em>, <\/em>which has the distinction of featuring Martin Starr from Party Down <\/em>(if you haven’t seen that show, do), the Lance Henriksen-starring Wilderness<\/em>, and the closing night film, Absentia, <\/em>which looks like a low-budget treat.<\/p>\n
