The WHIP SELECT\u2122 system for RTS Stormrise is a revolutionary HUD control for the Xbox 360\u00ae video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION\u00ae3 computer entertainment system that allows easy unit selection, rapid navigation and precise deployment. Pushing and holding the right thumb stick in any direction brings up the WHIP control. This is a selection beam which allows you to quickly take control of any unit on the battlefield. Move the beam in the direction of a unit that you wish to control, ensure that the unit is highlighted, and then simply release the right stick to take control of that unit.<\/p>\n
Players can also take advantage of the \u2018Quick WHIP\u2019 option by flicking the right thumb stick in the general direction of the unit that they wish to select, and control will move to the nearest unit in that direction. In this way the battlefield can be navigated very quickly and accurately, allowing players to jump from each unit to the next, and potentially leap across the whole battlefield in one flick so they never miss a second of the conflict.<\/p>\n

\nStormrise is a real time strategy title set in a post-apocalyptic future where two warring factions have arise from the rubble: the Echelon, a technologically advanced race that endured the planet’s fallout by way of self-induced hibernation, and the Sai, a tribal society that adapted to the new apocalyptic environment and evolved over time.
