PowerBackup also offers users a variety of
ways to backup their information on either a Hard Drive, network drive, external
drive and even CD's or DVD's. The procedure is extremely easy and once you have
selected the source (e.g. specific folders on your hard drive or your entire
hard drive), the next step was to select the source destination which was my
trusty Liteon DVD-Burner. The beauty of PowerBackup is that you can also select
what kind of backup method you would like to use.

For instance, by selecting "new", PowerBackup
will only backup new files on your hard drive or if you select modified, it will
only backup modified files on your hard that may include Microsoft word of
Microsoft excel files that were recently modified.
Once the source was selected and which backup method was needed, I then
proceeded to backup the information to my DVD drive and in a few hours, I had my
entire hard drive backed-up on DVD discs. This speed will also vary on how much
information or how big your hard drive is.
Another feature of PowerBackup is that it sports a backup scheduler that
basically allows you to assign a date and a time for your system backup which is
ideal for businesses users who may change their information everyday on their
system. PowerBackup includes a powerful algorithm program that basically checks
existing files in your backup database which ensures that only relevant files
will be backed-up.
Remembering that the world of computers is full of a variety of computer users,
some good and some bad, PowerBackup also offers a very intensive password
protection system that basically ensures that only the people you want will be
able to restore the information that has been backed-up. Perfect for businesses
with sensitive information.
In order to keep your backup discs smaller, a data compression tool has been
included that basically "zips" information to allow you to store more
information on your backup discs. With that said, PowerBackup supports Zip &
Jazz drives, flash memory cards, hard drives, CD's and DVD's with the new 8.5GB
double-layer disc.
In conclusion, PowerBackup is a valuable tool that I would recommend to all
computer users, especially those who would be devastated if they lost their
entire hard drive. Highly Recommended!
