The Aegean Computer Desk is the perfect desk for the modern home or business with its sleek white appearance and contemporary painted glass top. Even if not used as a computer desk, the Aegean's modern appearance makes for the ideal centre piece for that vacant area in your home. For those readers who are unaware of the Criterion, they are a company with over 40 years of experience in the furniture industry that has reputation for quality and affordable prices. As Criterion have an office in Australia, they also offer the end-user the utmost support and assistance via their customer service line, ensuring peace of mind from the retailer to its intended destination. Special Features & Benefits
The Aegean Computer Desk comes divided in two packs with a total of 13 different part items and a manageable amount of screws, dowels and cams. The limited number of items in the packaging ensures that the user is not overwhelmed by the installation process and will allow most end-users to easily assemble the Aegean. Installation
The installation of the Aegean Computer
Desk was a breeze that came neatly packed and labeled. The main box is
labelled with a right way to open the packaging, ensuring that
everything is accessible without the assembler ripping boxes apart. This
clever packaging design prevents any damage to the parts and assists
greatly with the installation process. The Aegean also comes with an
easy to understand 12-page manual with a 5-year Warranty form, ensuring
that your supported from the world go.
It should be noted that
the Aegean was not assembled by Impulsegamer, however Tim from Criterion
had assisted in the process. With this in mind, the entire range of
Criterion furniture can either be installed by a professional
recommended by Criterion or by the end-user and if any issues occur for
the end-user, there is a 1-800 support number that will assist you with
any issues that you may have. The assembly took Tim around 30 minutes to
successfully build the unit. Another feature of the Aegean is that the
unit can be dissembled which ensures that the desk can move from one
building to another.
A great tip from Tim was that he recommended that all the parts be taken out of the box and neatly laid out on the floor in order to ensure easy installation. Once the parts were laid out, they were all carefully labeled with coincide with the labels and wording in the instruction manual. Thankfully the manual was written in English and not a hybrid version such as the popular "Chinglish" wording that is more common in cheaper desks. The only accessory that the user needs for assembling the desk is a Phillips screwdriver. An Allen key is provided by Criterion to assist in the assembly process. Care and handling of the Aegean Once the installation was completed, Impulsegamer moved the desk from one area of the room to another and there was little if any movement in the desk whatsoever. The manual contains a one-page article assisting with Surface Care instructions such as glass cleaning, spills and soils & other damages. The beauty of Criterion Furniture is that spare parts are also available via the company, ensuring added longevity of the item. Conclusion After using the desk for over a week, our reviewers found the item quite comfortable and we could easily recommend this item to the more fashionable market with its white appearance and frosted glass. The Aegean was ergonomically designed to allow maximum comfort with the end-user in mind. The only drawback of the item is the lack of additional storage compartments but the Aegean contains a huge drawer that virtually holds a plethora of items so this is also a moot point. The Aegean Computer Desk is a well crafted desk that has been designed to ensure the maximum benefits to the end-user. Recommended!
