Another classic TV series finally comes to DVD that features the talented Jack Klugman as Quincy, M.E., the 1970's series that created the medical investigation genre which also spawned a plethora of TV series. Television icon Jack Klugman is the crusading and headstrong medical examiner Dr. Quincy, the distinguished role that earned him 4 Emmy nominations. Aided by his loyal lab assistant Sam Fujiyama (Robert Ito), Quincy ’s not afraid to stand up for his convictions, and he will battle anyone who stands in his way, whether it's his sceptical boss Dr. Asten (John S. Ragin) or even City Hall itself, those seeking to avoid justice had better watch out. On the case with Quincy are celebrated guest stars such as Buddy Hackett, Donna Mills, Kim Cattrall, June Lockhart and Jamie Lee Curtis who have all become greats in Hollywood which also represents the quality of the series with such high quality actors. With that said, Jack Klugman is so believable in this role that you actually get the impression that he could be a real doctor with his own down the line attitude and no nonsense sort of guy which is why this show seems to work so well. With over 16 episodes, fans of the series or for those that want something different can now watch as Quincy, M.E. probes contemporary issues and makes a passionate stand for justice. Presented in a standard aspect ratio made for television with similar sound of the time of production, this DVD set won't break any spectacular DVD awards for video or audio, however the true masterpiece of the series are the stories themselves that are the real hero behind this amazing boxed set.
