Available on both DVD and Blu-Ray, Lost Season Four finally arrives for fans of the series and thankfully takes the series into the next gear. The most noticeable change of season four is the inclusion of new cast members and new writers which may have resulted from the writers strike in the United States. Even so, Lost Season 4 finally answers a plethora of questions from previous seasons, however also raises a wide gamut of new questions but it’s good to see that the series has finally gained some much needed guidance again. Although the previous season used flashbacks to tell the tale, Season Four changes the ante by using flashfowards of the six survivors who managed to finally get off the island. Unfortunately for these survivors, there was a cost for leaving the island and if they are to be ever free of the this “curse”, they need to return to the island again. Matthew Fox is strangely at times absent from Season Four which may have been due to his movie commitments, however the other supporting cast members of Lost more than make up for this absence, with my favourites being Desmond and Lock who has taken over the reigns from the nefarious Ben. With 14 episodes and some really great special features, this is definitely a must have for fans of the series and has really gotten me into the experience once again.
