Hush

Starring William Ash and Christine Bottomley, Hush is directed by Mark Tonderai & Ryosuke Hashiguchi which is a thriller horror that seems to be based on an old urban legend with a premise of how far you would go for someone you love.

The story revolves around a couple who are on their way to a party and unfortunately for Zakes (William Ash) and his girlfriend Beth (Christine Bottomley), their lives are soon about to be overturned.

To compound the situation, the drama heats up between them from their constant squabbling and whether they can reconcile and move on is questioned by the viewer.

While driving towards the party on this dark and rainy night (cliché alert), Zakes witnesses a woman being held hostage in the van in front of them. Of course Zakes and Beth decide to open Pandora's box when they follow this van to a service station where their nightmare is about to begin.

Although clichéd and predictable at times, Hush is definitely one of those movies that keeps you on the edge of your seat which has some great performances by these UK actors and it's refreshing that it's not American.

At the end of the day, writer and director Mark Tonderai does create a Generation Y horror, however if you can ignore some of the plot inconsistencies and stupidity of the characters, Hush is actually and enjoyable movie that features some good cinematography which needs to watched in the dark and with the surround sound on.

Fun yet forgettable!
