Doctor Who Robot features the legendary Tom Baker and in my honest opinion the best Doctor Who to have walked the planet. Featuring episodes from 1974 to 1975, the newly regenerated Doctor investigates the theft of top-secret plans stolen from a secure facility run by the organisation of UNIT. As the investigation continues, the Doctor's lovely companion Sarah Jane Smith (Elizabeth Sladen) discovers that that the thief was not human but a robot. The pair are soon entwined in a dark conspiracy that soon threatens the very planet itself. Doctor Who Robot is masterfully directed by Christopher Barry and features special effects that could only be considered clichéd and pure cheese but this is what made Doctor Who the phenomenal it is today. Once again the Doctor Who restoration team have finely tuned this original television series to almost bring back its original lustre and match that with a plethora of special features such as the featurette "Are Friends Electric" and some hidden "Easter Eggs" and one could easily be mistaken in thinking they are in a Doctor who paradise.
