The only negative aspect of the original Kill Bill was that it was part 1 of 2 and movie goers had to wait for the second installment. As the movie was released in 2004 and the DVD version soon followed, Blu-Ray owners can now experience Kill Bill Volume 2 as how it was intended to be experienced in glorious high definition with 1080p HD Widescreen and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 which makes this transfer to this format almost flawless. In the original movie, The Bride played by the beautiful and talented Uma Thurman had successfully murdered two of the killers responsible for her wedding carnage and now three remain on her list. It's time for The Bride to strap on her Samurai sword and hunt down Elle Driver, Budd and the boss of the organisation, Bill played by the grim David Carradine. To compound the situation for The Bride, she believed that her baby was killed in the original carnage from the first movie, however her child is still alive which questions her motivations behind her revenge spree. Tarantino truly creates a unique and powerful sequel that is as good as the first, if not better in some aspects. The dialogue is first class Tarantino as are the action scenes which are masterfully choreographed and look like they should appear in a Hong Kong action movie but best of all, all the stunts are real and there is no CGI whatsoever in this movie. With stunning video and audio quality, Kill Bill Volume 2 features a making of documentary, the Damoe deleted scene and some musical performances by Chingon. If you have the movie on DVD, you really need to see and hear it on Blu-Ray and if you've never seen the Kill Bill movies before and if you're a lover of action movies, than this is definitely one for you. Great performances by Uma Thuman, David Carradine, Daryl Hannah and even Samuel L. Jackson makes this another Tarantino masterpiece! Brilliant! |
